Rockdale Children and Families Hub
The Rockdale Children and Families Hub is a welcoming and free community health clinic for families with children aged 0–5 years.
We support your child to grow, learn and thrive, and be ready to start school by providing health and development checks, and connecting your family to the right services, information and support.
The following health services are provided at the Hub:
- Child and Family Health Nursing
- Speech Pathology
- Community Paediatrician Clinic
We also link you to other services delivered by organisations we work with in the community.
Child & Family Health Nursing
- Children from birth to 5 years.
- Parenting support and advice, including support with feeding, sleep, behaviour, and daily routines.
- Health and development checks (Blue Book), including tracking milestones (talking, learning, moving and social skills), as well as growth, vision and teeth checks.
- Help to understand and connect with services
Speech Pathology
- Children from birth to 5 years, 6 months.
- Support for communication and language development including:
- Understanding language
- Using words
- Speech sounds
- Social communication.
Community Paediatrician
- Monthly clinic at the Hub.
- Assessment and advice for children with developmental concerns.
- Referral required from the Child and Family Health Nurse.
Child Immunisation
- Help with booking free childhood vaccinations (1300 244 288).
- Available at Rockdale and Hurstville Community Health Centres.
- Free. No Medicare card required.
