Before undertaking a quality improvement activity staff need to determine if ethical review by the Human Research Ethics Committee is required. The need for review is based on identifying any ethical risks that the improvement work may pose to participants. There are two key documents to assist staff in making this decision:
- NSW OHMR Guidelines for Low and Negligible Risk (LNR) research review processes or exemption from ethics review.
- Does my project need ethical review? Checklist.
