The LIFT program offers emerging leaders the opportunity and space to hear from a range of leaders across SESLHD, to see for themselves how leadership impacts on service delivery and to think about ways to lead the improvement of safe, quality, and compassionate care. LIFT for Emerging Leaders offers participants ‘a peek’ into the world of leadership and management, both within and beyond the District.
LIFT for Emerging Leaders also offers participants the opportunity to test their new understandings and skills in the context of real-time priorities, through engaging in in one of two talent streams.
The Effective Leadership Program offers academic credits for a course of study leading to a Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership and Management at the University of Wollongong. In the first module you will learn about yourself as a transformational leader and develop skills to facilitate your team. In the second module (Heart of Caring) you will practice your leadership skills towards ensuring person centred compassionate care. The program is open to all disciplines including those without a clinical background.
The aim of the program is to build on the skills developed in the Effective Leadership Program and to lead a Clinical Practice Improvement Project as part of a team in their workplace. This program is run in partnership with University of Wollongong and The Clinical Excellence Commission.
