ClinTrial Refer app launches version 2.0

The new version of ClinTrial Refer was launched by The Hon Greg Hunt MP, Minister for Health, at the Australian Clinical Trials Alliance International Conference earlier this month.

ClinTrial Refer 2.0 aims to make finding the right clinical research trial easier by delivering a comprehensive listing of currently recruiting trials globally.

Roslyn Ristuccia, Executive Manager of ClinTrial Refer, St George Hospital, said the exciting upgrade includes an improved content management system which applies to all trial portfolios, across all disciplines.

“Previously, there were more than 20 separate apps segmented by discipline and location, which made it hard for users to see the full scope of trials happening at any one time.

“Now, clinicians and patients are able to see all trials at a glance through the ability to search the platform globally – noting they are able to set their preferred discipline or network as their default app.

“Users can customise their search experience and receive real time notifications for trials in their discipline of choice. Advanced search functionality also allows users to filter trials according to age, mutation status and tumour type, and identify trials offering telehealth options.

“I encourage SESLHD clinical staff to utilise ClinTrial Refer as a tool to help identify trials that may be suitable for their patients and for researchers to get in touch to explore how they can add their trials to the platform and start benefitting from the app,” Ms Ristuccia said.
