Calvary Health Care Kogarah public hospital in Sydney provides Specialist Palliative Care Services and Rehabilitation Services to the local St George and Sutherland Shire regions and extensive Community Health Services to the St George region.

We are one of the largest sub-acute hospitals in NSW serving approximately 12,500 patients per year.

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is considered a leader in Palliative Care and End-of-Life Care within NSW. We deliver a range of Palliative Care services in both community (as an outpatient at home or visiting the hospital) and inpatient settings.

Our Rehabilitation Service provides comprehensive assessment and interventions with a focus on Aged Care, Orthopaedic and Reconditioning after a long illness, supported by specialist services including a Hydrotherapy pool, Bereavement Service and respite support for carers of people with Dementia.

Calvary Health Care Kogarah is a teaching hospital with a strong and active commitment to research. We are affiliated with the University of NSW and Notre Dame University and provide clinical placements in under-graduate and post-graduate programs.

Established in 1966 by our founders, the Sisters of the Little Company of Mary, Calvary Health Care Kogarah provides public hospital services under a Service Level Agreement with the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District and is an Australian Council of Healthcare Standards accredited hospital. In 2016 Calvary Health Care Kogarah celebrated 50 years since its foundation.
