“I have always had an interest in child development and health promotion. After having my own children and having a positive experience with the Child and Family Health Nurse, I progressed my career in this direction. My role involves conducting developmental screening for infants and children 0-5 years and support for families in their adjustment to the complex role of parenting.

Along with individual consultations, I facilitate Early Bird groups for parents and newborns.  The focus of the group is to build parental confidence, make social connections and share their experiences.

I have a passion for assisting women at the beginning of their feeding relationship with an infant which takes time, patience and support. I feel this is vital in the sustainability of breastfeeding to support the mum so she can enjoy the experience of breastfeeding her infant.”
