2018 District Directorate Awards

The second annual South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) Directorate Awards were held at the Royal Hospital for Women on Thursday 15 November 2018.

It was an afternoon for celebrating and recognising the achievements and commitment of the many clinical and non-clinical directorate teams who work tirelessly to support both the strategic and operational work of our district and the communities we work alongside.

Following an initial welcome from David Pearce, Acting Chief Executive, SESLHD, 11 achievement and excellence awards were presented by Scott Thrift and Kayla Bents, SESLHD consumer, Michael Still, Board Chair, SESLHD, Greg Stewart, Director, Primary, Integrated & Community Health, Kim Brookes, Director, Clinical Governance, and Christie Paton and Tanya Lindin from sponsors, Hesta and SmartSalary.

Joy Hiley, Director, Workforce, and Louise Johnson, Manager, Human Resources Advisory Services, handed out service medals to staff members for 20 years of service and over. The most exceptional was Florence Levy, for 45 years of service, and Donna Purcell, for 35 years of service. Individual directorates will be handing out service medals to their staff from 10 years and up in the coming weeks.

“In its second year, we’ve been impressed by the large number of nominations that were received. It is wonderful to see so many great teams and individuals being recognised, not only the winners, but all the finalists too,” Ms Hiley said.
