A new look for St George Hospital

In a proud moment for the St George Hospital Redevelopment, we’re excited to reveal the façade of the new nine-storey Kensington Street Building.

The façade’s framing and glass installations are progressing, currently reaching Level 6 – with final touch-ups and brick cleaning underway, along with sunshade installation and scaffold removal.

Ange Karooz, General Manager of St George Hospital, and Allan Ajami, Redevelopment Manager at St George Hospital, had a unique opportunity to get up close to the new hospital signage prior to the scaffold coming down, an exciting moment that highlighted the transformation taking place.

Delivered as part of the $411 million Stage 3 Redevelopment, the new health facility will enhance healthcare for the local community, integrating community and outpatient services under one roof.

Construction of the new building is expected to be completed late this year, with a new public forecourt, green space, and final refurbishment works to be completed in late 2026.
