Appointment of General Manager, Prince of Wales Hospital & Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital

Prince of Wales Hospital and Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital has a new General Manager with Jennie Barry taking up her new position on 1 July 2019.

Jennie Barry has been acting in the role of General Manager for the past few months. Making the announcement last week, Tobi Wilson, Chief Executive said: “While acting in the role of General Manager, Jennie Barry has done an outstanding job in continuing to progress the priorities of the hospitals and our organisation.”

Jennie Barry brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held various positions over the past 23 years while working within the NSW Health system. Since 2014, she has held the position of Director of Nursing and Support Services at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital.  

Starting her career as a registered nurse at Kareena Private Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital, Jennie Barry specialised in orthopaedics before moving into management roles across surgery, anaesthetics, community heath and aged care. Her qualifications include Bachelor of Nursing and Masters of Health Law.
