International eye experts gather at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital

A leader in specialist ophthalmic care for more than two centuries, Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital (SSEH) proudly hosted eye experts from all over the globe for the World Association of Eye Hospitals (WAEH) Annual Meeting.

A global association of stand-alone eye hospitals and eye departments, the WAEH’s mission is to continuously improve the experience, care and outcomes of patients with eye disorders.

Over 60 international leaders congregated at SSEH to exchange knowledge and experiences in innovation, philanthropy, sustainability, quality and safety in eyecare.

“We are so proud to be part of this innovative global network of eye experts, working towards improving care for patients with eye disease,” said Natalie Maier, Director of Nursing at SSEH.

“As the largest specialist eye hospital in the southern hemisphere, SSEH remains at the cutting edge of ophthalmology by driving scientific research and providing world-class specialised eye services. It was a pleasure to host our international partners.”
