SESLHD community a bright star in Australia Day Awards

Each year hundreds of ordinary – and extraordinary – Australians are recognised for their service to the community, and it’s always a source of pride that several of the award winners are from our District.

Congratulations go to Dr Debra Graves, SESLHD Board Member, who was awarded an OAM for services to medical administration, particularly pathology.

Sandra Grove, Clinical Quality Manager at St George Hospital, was also awarded an OAM for service to the community in Kogarah.

Dr Sally Torr, former Community Health Associate Director, was awarded an AM for significant service to healthcare administration and the community of Western NSW.

Praise is also due to the late David Pearce, the former Director of Operations, SESLHD Mental Health Service, who was awarded a Public Service Medal for outstanding public service in the mental health sector helping to improve mental health care and well-being across NSW.

Vicki Manning, former Director of Nursing at St George Hospital, also won a Public Service Medal for outstanding public service through her leadership in the NSW Health COVID-19 response.
