SESLHD screams for ice cream

Here’s the scoop, hospital staff enjoyed chilling out with a scrumptious ice cream cone over the past fortnight. The cool treats were just one way of saying thank you to our staff for their unwavering efforts over the past two years.

The Gelato Man created a sensation across our District, with an array of staff eager to enjoy the provedore’s sundaes and cones.

The two weeks of sweet-treats kicked off with a gelato cart at St George Hospital, where salted caramel was the most popular flavour on the day.

Long queues formed at Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital and the Randwick Hospitals Campus when the Gelato Man began serving chocolate, raspberry and passionfruit ice cream, and there was no Monday-itis over at Sutherland Hospital, as the cart continued to make its rounds across our hospitals.

Staff were all smiles as the gelato cart spread a little happiness one scoop at a time.

The sweet surprises were a way to cone-gratulate staff for the extraordinary care they have shown our patients during the pandemic.
