South East Sydney spread Easter cheer

SESLHD staff got into the Easter spirit this year by spreading good vibes – and plenty of chocolate – across their workplaces in the lead up to the long weekend.

Easter came early for sick kids at St George Hospital, with staff dressing up in bunny ears and holding an Easter egg hunt on the Children’s Ward. Meanwhile, the thoughtful team at Calvary Health Care Kogarah sent a special delivery of Easter bunnies to the hard working staff at the St George Hospital Vaccination Hub.

Calvary staff who worked over the Easter weekend were each greeted by a member of the leadership team who treated them to chocolate bunnies. The team were also given tasty gifts thanks to a generous donation by Lindt, and a special Holy Week Mass was held in the hospital chapel.

There were some lucky staff at Sutherland Hospital who won chockers of choccies from the annual Easter Raffle, thanks to donations by Essenze Chocolates, Haigh’s Chocolates, Nina’s Chocolates, Woolworths Caringbah and Coles Caringbah.

Chocolate eggs and beautifully designed Easter cards were also delivered to staff at the Royal Hospital for Women thanks to Little Helpers on the Run – a unique charity teaching children about compassion and acts of kindness. And thanks to a generous donation from Coles Randwick the hospital’s hard working Domestic Services team were able to enjoy a breakfast feast of hot cross buns and fresh fruit.

Over at the Garrawarra Centre the Easter bunny made a guest appearance, with residents receiving Easter eggs and enjoying a special Easter program that included quizzes and trivia.
