Child Protection Counselling Service (CPCS)

The CPCS is a child and family-centred trauma-specific therapy service. Its main purpose is to work towards the ongoing safety, recovery and well-being of children and young people involved with the care and protection system. CPCS can accept referrals from:

  • Department of Communities and Justice
  • Non-government agencies responsible for supporting families involved in the care and protection system
  • Some NSW Health Services including Sexual Assault Services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Child Protection Units

Domestic Violence (DV)

Experiencing DV is nothing to be shame about - it happens to men, women and children, and there are supports available.

Southern Sydney Sexual Assault Service (SSSAS)

SSAS provides trauma informed medical, forensic and counselling services to victims of sexual assault.

Adult Survivors of Child Sexual Assault Services

SESLHD is developing an Adult Survivor Service for people who have experienced child sexual assault by providing counselling support and consultation. After two years of project work, the team in transitioning into a service that will include Aboriginal workers to engage with local community. The service acknowledges the impact of cumulative and historical trauma and we welcome adult survivors and staff who work with them, to contact us to discuss how we can best work together.
