Aboriginal services (Eastern Suburbs)

The Aboriginal Child and Family Health Nursing Service for the Randwick and La Perouse areas provides:

  • growth & development surveillance and screening,
  • feeding support,
  • sleep & settling advice & support
  • parenting advice & support
  • parent groups and walking groups

to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families with children aged 0-5 years.

Services are offered in the home, at La Perouse Community Centre or at any of the Child and Family Health clinics in the Eastern Suburbs. Our Aboriginal Health Worker supports the nursing staff to provide culturally appropriate and safe services in addition to implementing a range of health promotion activities to support the growth and development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and the health and wellbeing of families.
