Education & Training
The SESLHD Homelessness Health Training has been developed to meet the needs of clinicians and other frontline staff working with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. It aims to
- provide participants with a deeper understanding of the complex health and psycho-social issues this group faces
- assist staff in providing appropriate care
- increase knowledge of relevant services available in the district
The health and well-being of people experiencing homelessness is a priority for the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD). This is reflected in the Homelessness Health Strategy 2018-2021.
The training is facilitated by a highly skilled group of SESLHD staff and will be offered through HETI on a biannual basis from 2019. If you would like to know more about this training please contact us.
