Opioid Agonist Treatment Program
The Opioid Agonist Treatment Program (OAT) is a community-based service, designed for people who are dependent on opioids (eg. heroin or morphine) and have had difficulty accessing, or staying on, drug treatment programs.
The program provides opioid substitution treatment (such as methadone or Suboxone™) alongside intensive case management with a focus on helping people to stabilise.

How do I access the program?
If you have a problem with drug dependency come along and chat with a counsellor about your treatment options. The counsellor will provide you with information about whether this program is suitable for you, what you will need to access the program and/or assist you with a referral to other treatment services.
The counselling team are available at Kirketon Road Centre during usual opening hours (9.30am-5pm weekdays, but from noon on Wednesday). No appointment is necessary.
Alternatively ask to speak with the referral coordinator at the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre who will organise a referral to the service.
