FAQs
Do I need to pre-book a time to attend? 
Not at all! As a drop-in centre you can just turn up during our opening hours.

How will you keep the space COVID Safe? 
All guests are required to sign in via QR Code, follow public health orders and NSW Health directives in relation to COVID-19 Safety. This includes mask wearing and social distancing.

If you contact SafeHaven outside of the operational hours you can leave a message and a staff member will contact you during the next shift.  If you require more immediate mental health support please call the Mental Health Access Line 1800 011 511.

The SafeHaven provides an alternative to attending the Emergency Department when experiencing distress of an emotional or suicidal crisis. The SafeHaven provides guests with a different kind of support. When you visit the SafeHaven you will be greeted by a Peer Worker with their own personal lived experience of suicidal distress. You can choose to chat to out team, have a tea or coffee, join in an activity or sit in a quiet spot and listen to music.  We can assist you to find out about other services that meet your immediate or longer term needs. You choose what is right for you.

Monday 5pm - 9pm
Tuesday 5pm - 9pm
Friday 5pm - 9pm
Saturday 5pm - 9pm
Sunday 5pm - 9pm

You don’t need to be referred, however you can ring us ahead if you want to let us know you are coming on: 9113 2981.

You are also welcome to bring a friend, a family member or other support people along with you.
