They help care for patients with:

- Thyroid issues
- Hypertension or high blood pressure in pregnancy

- Other medical problems in pregnancy including for example kidney disease, heart disease, transplants, neurological conditions, autoimmune conditions, and any other health issues
The Obstetric Medicine Physicians also offer preconception counselling, for women with medical conditions or previous pregnancy complications who are planning another pregnancy.
Our team work closely with women's usual treating specialists to help coordinate antenatal care.
The Obstetric Medicine Specialist team includes:
- Associate Professor Helen Barrett
- Associate Professor Sandra Lowe
- Dr Amanda Beech
To refer patients to be reviewed by the Obstetric Medicine Specialist team, you will require a GP electronic referral.
