Dr. King Man Wan
Dr King Man Wan is a Specialist Gynaecological Oncologist who manages gynaecological cancers, pre-invasive disease and complex benign gynaecological conditions including endometriosis and complex ovarian masses. He has trained extensively in open and laparoscopic surgery and has also completed a Da Vinci robotics fellowship in gynaecological oncology.
Dr Wan grew up in Sydney and graduated medical school with honours at Monash University. He returned to NSW for internship and residency in the Central Coast. He then entered Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he found his passion in caring for women living with cancer. He subsequently undertook additional training in Gynaecological Oncology at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse before commencing 3 years of formal subspecialty training to receive his certification of gynaecological oncology (CGO). During his subspecialty training, he worked across Australia at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse (NSW), Royal Adelaide Hospital (SA) and King Edward Memorial Hospital (WA).
Dr Wan also holds a Master of Public Health and is a conjoint lecturer at UNSW. He teaches a masters course in women’s cancer and is heavily involved in the teaching of gynaecological oncology fellows, obstetrics and gynaecology trainees and medical students.
