Support for breastfeeding employees

SESLHD is committed to supporting employees who wish to continue to breastfeed their babies after returning to work from maternity leave.

SESLHD aims to:

  • Provide guidance to assist managers in effectively supporting employees who are breastfeeding;
  • Improve retention rates of female employees after maternity leave;
  • Allow earlier return to work as a choice should employees choose to do so;
  • Improve employer-employee relations by acknowledging needs of employees who are breastfeeding;
  • Extend duration of breastfeeding;
  • Support a family friendly work culture
