The graduate management traineeship has given me a fantastic insight into the corporate and clinical operations of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District. The work placements have provided an incredible opportunity to learn from the district’s most influential leaders.

The skills and knowledge that I have gained from these placements,as well as the academic component will be invaluable throughout the rest of my career.

The SESLHD Health Management Graduate Program provides a unique and rewarding opportunity to develop health management skills in a supportive and nurturing environment. SESLHD offers diverse, carefully thought‐out placements in corporate and operational areas of health management, designed to provide a broad range of foundational knowledge and skills.

One of the highlights of the program is that it provides you with the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders in the organisation who offer invaluable advice, insights and guidance.

I would highly recommend the program to anyone looking to accelerate their career in health management.

I am a first‐year Management Trainee and so far, I have really found this program a valuable step in my career. As a public health professional, I have enjoyed learning about the different building blocks of the NSW Health system.

This has been complemented with the Master of Health Leadership and Management at the University of New South Wales.

I have appreciated being able to experience the major hospitals within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, as well as the chance to learn from a multi‐disciplinary team from nursing, medical, allied health and health service managers.

I would highly recommend this program if you have an interest to learn more about health service delivery in the NSW context and for the chance to combine academic rigour with practical experience.
