Aboriginal Healthy Lifestyle Support Program

This program supports mob who are at risk of or living with ongoing health challenges like high sugar (diabetes), heart disease, stroke, and breathing issues (asthma, lung disease). We offer a variety of fun community groups that focus on healthy living. Our team is here to provide personalised advice to support your health. This is a free program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families living in the St George and Sutherland Shire areas. This area is the traditional land of the Dharawal and Bidjigal peoples.

You will receive support from:

  • Aboriginal Health Care Worker
  • Registered Nurse
  • Dietitian
  • Exercise physiologist

  • Options for managing your health
  • Access to healthy lifestyle programs
  • Care coordination
  • Referrals to specialised services if needed

We have group and individual services for people aged 15 and over, and for all fitness levels, including:

  • Water-based activities
  • Fitness at your own pace
  • Cooking group
  • Healthy lifestyle advice
  • Quit smoking program
  • Diabetes education
  • Dietetic advice
  • Physical activity advice
