Smoking, Shisha & Vaping
We work together and in partnership with NGOs, government agencies and the education sector to support people to quit smoking including shisha and vaping.
Quitting smoking, shisha smoking and vaping improves health and reduces the risk of disease. Quitting is not always easy, but we know it is one of the most effective things to reduce the risk of cancer and live a longer and healthier life.
Quit support services are proven to help people quit smoking and vaping, no matter how long they have been doing it.
Get help to quit:
- Talk to your GP
- Call the NSW Quitline 13 7848 (13 QUIT) to speak to a trained Quitline counsellor. This includes counsellors that can speak community languages through the Translating and Interpreting Service.
- Call the NSW Aboriginal Quitline 13 7848 (13 QUIT) to access Aboriginal counsellors who provide culturally safe counselling support for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
- Visit the iCanQuit website for information, resources, tips and tools to help you quit and stay quit.
