Medicine Clinical Stream
The Medicine Stream's primary goal is providing clinical leadership, supporting the clinical specialties, and enabling exceptional, integrated, equitable, and compassionate healthcare for the community and workforce within South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD).

The Medicine Stream takes the lead in ensuring exceptional healthcare for the clinical specialties it encompasses within SESLHD.
Our objectives include overseeing innovative care models, managing clinical risk, fostering collaboration, and playing a pivotal role in strategic planning, policy shaping, standardising care, and cultivating relationships across the health system.
Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD)
Establish clinical pathways and systems that ensures eligible people can access VAD services as a legislated end of life choice by 28 November 2023 while ensuing all staff across SESLHD are supported navigating this change in practice.
District Diabetes Model of Care – Inpatient
Develop and implement a district-wide model of care for the management of diabetes, utilising the Glucose Management Worklist as a risk stratification tool during a patient admission.
Immunology and Allergy Service
Develop a district approach to enhance the service and establish a framework for enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing, including virtual health options.
