Child and Youth Services

All children and young people (0 - 17 years of age) are eligible for FREE dental care.  Dental treatment is provided by Dental and Oral Health Therapists.  The range of treatment offered include:

  • General dental care
  • Emergency relief of pain
  • Specialist assessments (Centrelink Concession Card required for Orthodonic referrals in the public system)

 

The Priority Oral Health Program (POHP) ensures the people with the greatest need receive the earliest attention.  Patients are assessed on the basis of medical and oral health needs as well as well as socio-economic and other risk factors.
