Our services
Our specialist team provide care for adults and children with eye conditions. We visit five rural locations: Bourke Hospital, Brewarrina Hospital, Cobar Hospital, Lightning Ridge Hospital, Walgett Hospital.
Our services include:
- General ophthalmology outpatient clinics
- Paediatric ophthalmology outpatient clinics
- Cataract Surgery
- Oculoplastics Surgery
- OCT, Retinal diagnostic testing
- Visual Field Assessments.

Inclusion criteria
- All general ophthalmology referrals
- All paediatric ophthalmology referrals.
Exclusion criteria
- Emergency referrals.
Referral Form
Referrals must be submitted electronically via NSW Health eReferral. Referrals received by fax or email will not be accepted.
Once a referral has been received and reviewed, a member of our team will contact the patient by letter with appointment details.
Waiting times
Waiting times may vary depending on clinical urgency:
- Urgent referrals: generally seen within 4 weeks
- Non-urgent referrals: may be seen within 12 months

If a patient needs to change or cancel their appointment, they should contact our team on 0419 111 687 or 0424 446 587
We are a Medicare service. You must provide a referral that is addressed to one of our specialist team. Your patient will be bulk-billed.
