Rapid Access Cardiac Clinic
How we can help you
We provide appointments at the hospital for people living in the community with heart disease, heart rhythm issues, heart failure or heart problems. Our clinic is located within the Community Assessment Unit.
You will see a heart doctor called a Cardiology Advanced Trainee and heart nurses. We will work with your usual cardiologist and local doctor (GP).
The Rapid Access Cardiac Clinic is held Mondays to Fridays from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm. It is located in the Community Assessment Unit on Level 3 of the Acute Service Building at Prince of Wales Hospital.
You will need a referral letter from your local general practitioner (GP) or specialty doctor to use this service. Your doctor will need to submit this referral electronically via Electronic Referral System or by calling the clinic directly. Your referral will include your medical history, relevant test results, and what medicines you are currently taking.
Once we receive this referral and accept it, we will call you to arrange an appointment.
If you need to change or cancel your appointment or no longer require an appointment please call 02 9382 9200.
Please make sure you bring:
