Wig Library

How we can help you

Any patient experiencing hair loss because of their treatment can hire a wig from the wig library. There are a wide range of wigs in contemporary colours and styles as well as head coverings, hats, turbans, scarves and head wraps.

This service is open to all patients across NSW and managed by the Prince of Wales Hospital Volunteer Service.

Our experienced volunteers will assist you with the selection, fitting and care fo your wig. They can also help with head shaving if required.

If you have already experienced hair loss, please bring along a photograph of yourself before your hair loss to assist with selecting a wig or head covering.

We accept payment with cash or by card.

A one off non-refundable payment is required at the time of hire:

Product Payment
New wig $100.00
Donated or returned wig  $40.00

You may be eligible for cover under your private health insurance, contact your fund for details.

All wigs must be returned to the wig library.
